  • I have problem with rotor plugin does somebody have working conf files and can it post it here.
    I have diseqc 1.2 motor dish that is working with some other satelite receiver but with vdr1.7.15 and rotor plugin dont.
    For test purpose i have put the new hard disk and instal windows xp with altdvb on the same mashine and the rotor was moving.

    Please help me...

  • Hi everybody,
    need help to setup the rotor plugin (rotor-0.1.5), I can move the motor left and right but I cannot store the position. I have also the following warning "position: 0 not in diseqc.conf".
    my diseqc look like this;

    S13.0E 11700 V 9750 t v W15 [E0 31 6B 00] W15 t
    S13.0E 99999 V 10600 t v W15 [E0 31 6B 00] W15 T

    something I am missing?

  • I think it's a problem from the plugin and not from yaVDR

    Can you please tell us how did you recompile and where can we download gotox patch

  • The patch in question is here:

    I've uploaded my recompiled VDR deb here for you to try:

    GotoX is configured in the LNB menu rather than a separate plugin, you should remove the rotor plugin. You will also need to modify your diseqc.conf to add a G to any position that you want to use GotoX to drive to, eg:

    S13.0E 11700 V 9750 G t v W15 [E0 10 38 F0] W15 A W15 t
    S13.0E 99999 V 10600 G t v W15 [E0 10 38 F1] W15 A W15 T
    S13.0E 11700 H 9750 G t V W15 [E0 10 38 F2] W15 A W15 t
    S13.0E 99999 H 10600 G t V W15 [E0 10 38 F3] W15 A W15 T

  • I have installed the package, no changes, everything works as before.

    SW: yaVDR-0.3
    HW: P5N7A-VM /// E5200 /// 2 GB DDR2-800 /// 160 GB SATA /// Tevii S464 /// GeForce 9300 GE (G98) 256 MB /// JVC 32'' HDMI -> HDMI

  • Sorry, did not see, I have now enabled-no changes. If I move LNB left or right, they turn themselves back again.

    P.S. Sorry for my English, I use Google Translator.

    Same Problem here. Anyone has a solution, since the plugin itself is working and just no sat positons are shown in the rotor-menu ?

    I am using a ubuntu 10.04 64bit with the vdr from the yavdr: vdr-testing repository. My previous install yavdr 0.1 with vdr 1.7.10 the plugin was working fine.

  • I very quickly gave the rotor posted above a try last night but didn't see any different behaviour - I can move the rotor manually using the plugin but no actual turning via GotoX when zapping.

    Will have a more in depth look tonight.

    The GotoX patch I refered to earlier would be excellent on its own, however I have a problem when zapping between channels on my fixed dish and my rotor which are both configured on a diseqc switch. If I'm watching something on my fixed dish & zap to a channel on my rotor, it doesn't move. I have to zap to a different position, then zap back again before it actually moves to the correct position. I'm not sure if I've set something up wrong or if it is just a limitation of the patch, however this wasn't a problem when I had a working rotor plugin.

  • Yep no more luck for me either. I might spend some time programming positions into my motor so I can use GotoPosition, in the meantime the GotoX patch with the caveat mentioned above will have to do for me.

  • Just to update others, I've rolled back to the standard rotor plugin from the YaVDR repositories and after storing positions in my rotor & subsequently configuring my rotor.conf & diseqc.conf properly my VDR is now functioning correctly using GotoPosition.

    Can you post your diseqc and rotor conf files?
    Tnx
